What closes a simulated funded account?

Updated October 2026 · 3 min read

Loss-limit breaches

Daily loss is measured from the higher of balance or equity at midnight UTC. The percentage applies to that day's baseline. Maximum loss is measured against the stage's static or trailing floor. Both checks include floating P&L, so an open position can cause a breach before it is closed.

Equity falling below the relevant line during the day counts even if a trade later recovers. A loss-limit breach closes that account, with no penalty beyond the closed account. Other accounts keep running under their own rules; a loss on one account is not a combined loss allowance for the others.

Other termination grounds

  • Prohibited strategies, including high-frequency or tick-scalping bots, latency arbitrage, error exploitation and trade copying or mirroring.
  • Identity fraud or misrepresentation.
  • Chargeback abuse.
  • Use from a sanctioned jurisdiction.

Account sharing, selling, transfer and third-party management are prohibited. Non-automatic terminations are reviewed and the specific breach is notified. Reward requests are refused for the specific rule breaches in the Terms and programme rules, rather than at general discretion.

What is not itself a breach

The simulated funded 2% Equity Protector closes losing positions when its threshold is reached. That action alone does not end the account, although a separate loss-limit breach still can.

There is no best-day or best-trade consistency percentage to breach on any programme. A large share of gains coming from one day does not create a consistency breach. Minimum qualifying days and all other published request conditions remain separate.

Checking a closure and your next options

If you believe a closure is incorrect, keep the notice and full trade history. Contact support with the account ID, stage, timestamps and the daily or maximum-loss line you expected. Ask for the specific rule and calculation involved. Never send login credentials.

Do not assume an evaluation benefit restarts a simulated funded account. Free Retry covers one evaluation retry after a breach, not a general simulated funded replacement. Pay After Pass has its own reset provision at 40% of the programme fee after a loss-limit breach; confirm the option and amount shown for the affected account. Starting a new challenge is a separate purchase, not recovery of a closed account.
