Minimum trading days and qualifying days

A profitable day is not always a qualifying day. Work through the thresholds and avoid confusing days with consistency.

On a $100,000 2-Step Standard account, the current qualifying threshold is $500 in a day. A $100 gain can be a positive result without qualifying. That difference is worth understanding before planning a phase completion or a reward request.

Separate three different tests

A trading day describes activity during a defined day. A profitable day describes a positive net result. A qualifying day describes a result that reaches a specified threshold under the programme's calculation. Those terms can overlap, but they are not automatically synonyms. Use the rulebook's definition rather than the label on a marketing card.

The flagship requires 5 qualifying days in an evaluation phase, each at least 0.5% of account size. Its simulated funded stage requires 5 days at 0.5%. Instant currently uses 5 days at 1%, while the simulated funded stage of Pay After Pass uses 4 days at 1%. Scope the figure to the specific product and stage.

Count a hypothetical week correctly

Consider five net daily gains on a $100,000 flagship account: $300, $600, $800, $200 and $700. With its 0.5% threshold, the $600, $800 and $700 days qualify; the two smaller days do not. There are five positive days but three qualifying days. This arithmetic example does not represent achieved results.

Now suppose one day makes $3,000. It still contributes one qualifying day, not several. Splitting a result into multiple tickets on the same day does not create extra days. Conversely, changing the time zone in your journal does not change the firm's day boundary or the account dashboard's calculation.

A target and a calendar are independent

An evaluation target measures total gains in the phase; the qualifying-day condition measures days meeting its threshold. A trader can reach the target before completing the days, or complete the days while remaining below the target. Check both counters and avoid assuming one is a substitute for the other.

For a simulated funded account, the first-request calendar also has to be satisfied. Reaching the required day count early does not bring the scheduled request date forward. Reaching the date first does not create missing qualifying days. Plan from the actual eligibility checks rather than turning a calendar illustration into a promised payment date.

Leave room for costs and day boundaries

Track the net daily result shown for the account, including relevant booked costs. A gross gain equal to the threshold may leave a smaller net result after charges. If a day appears close to the line, verify the dashboard calculation rather than rounding a journal number in your favour.

Open positions and trades spanning the day boundary need care because the point at which results are booked matters. Keep the platform timestamps with the trade record. If you cannot reconcile a counted day, ask support with those timestamps and the account identifier instead of placing another trade to compensate for an unexplained discrepancy.

Do not turn the threshold into a daily profit target

A contractual threshold explains what qualifies; it does not establish a suitable daily objective for your strategy. Chasing the last few dollars late in a session can lead to worse entries, larger size or trades outside your tested hours. A day that does not qualify can still contain good decisions worth keeping.

Use a written personal stop and a normal setup checklist. If no suitable trade appears, record that the day remains unqualified and continue on another session. There is no consistency cap to dilute at MultiFunded, and no time limit on the programme phases. Neither fact makes additional exposure necessary or changes the loss rules.

Key takeaways

  • Count days against the exact programme threshold.
  • A large result creates one qualifying day, not several.
  • Targets, qualifying days and scheduled reward dates are independent checks.
