The shorter Instant hold time does not apply to other accounts. In particular, Pay After Pass retains 3 minutes at the simulated funded stage. Passing a phase does not make that account an Instant programme.

Use the trade's opening and closing timestamps when checking its duration. The requirement concerns the time the position is held, not how long the platform has been open or how long you have been watching the instrument.

Manual and automated exits

Own EAs and automated strategies are allowed, but their trades must respect the same minimum hold as manually placed trades. Check an EA's exit logic before enabling it on an account. An automation setting is not an exemption from the programme rules.

Stop-loss and take-profit orders are optional and recommended. The published hold rule does not create an automatic exemption for every possible exit mechanism. If your strategy depends on very short or partial exits, ask support to check how that pattern fits your account before relying on an assumed exception.

Other timing rules remain separate

Holding a trade long enough does not make every gain eligible. On simulated funded accounts, gains from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes before or after a high-impact news release may be removed. Overnight and weekend holding are allowed, but the daily-loss baseline resets at midnight UTC.

Loss limits continue to apply while a position is open. Do not interpret the minimum hold as a reason to ignore equity or as assurance that a position can remain open through a loss-limit breach. High-frequency trading and tick-scalping bots remain prohibited.

Checking a trade with support

  • Identify the account and programme, including its current stage.
  • Include the trade ID and opening and closing timestamps.
  • Explain whether the position was placed manually or by your own automation.

Keep the full trade record rather than a cropped duration alone. It helps distinguish a timing question from a news-window, platform or loss-limit question. Never include your password in a support message.
